Head flattened. No plumose tentacle above eye. Axillary pore present behind pectoral fin. Cirri present between eyes. Barbels around mouth branched. Pectoral glands absent.

Color

Body brown with indistinct darker mottling. Belly white with brown mottling.

Size

Maximum size to 253mm TL.

Habitat

Benthic on coral reefs.

Range

Western Caribbean: known only from Cozumel (Palancar Reef)
