Color
Body and head brownish to gray, often with a reddish hue. Usually with a dark band behind head, under soft dorsal fin, and on caudal peduncle. Often with dark bands across head and radiating from eye. Fins body colored with banding.
Size
Maximum size to 139.5mm SL.
Habitat
Benthic in shallow coastal waters.
Range
Uruguay to N. Argentina
