Pelvic fin origin well anterior to dorsal fin origin (about midway between dorsal and anal fin origins).

Color

Body pale except for a line of melanophores on the dorsal midline and two dark streaks on the ventrum. A dark spot is conspicuous in front of the eye.

Maximum size to 148mm SL.

Habitat

Epipelagic to mesopelagic from 0-200m.
