Color
Body gray above and silvery on the flanks and belly. No obvious spots. Fins dusky yellow. Spiny dorsal fin with a dark tip. Caudal fin darker than other fins.
Size
Maximum size to 95cm TL.
Habitat
Shallow coastal waters (1-30m) and estuaries over soft bottoms.
Range
Colombia to S. Brazil (continental coasts only).
