Color
Body bright silvery with a darker gray dorsum. Dorsal and caudal fins dusky yellow. Rest of fins pale yellowish. Base and upper rays of pectoral fin darker. Inside of mouth orange.
Size
Maximum size to 110cm TL.
Habitat
Shallow coastal waters (<10m) and estuaries over soft bottoms. Most common in brackish to almost freshwater habitats.
Range
French Guyana to northeastern Brazil.
